Pushdown Optimization $$PushdownConfig Parameter - Informatica

You can change the type of pushdown optimization by using the $$PushdownConfig parameter. Based on the load, type of the database and time of running the workflow, you might want to use source-side, target-side or full pushdown optimization. Use the config parameter to change the type of pushdown optimization.

Steps to use $$PushdownConfig Parameter:
  • Create $$PushdownConfig parameter in the Mapping Designer.
  • Configure the session and select $$PushdownConfig for pushdown optimization attribute.
  • Define the parameter value in the parameter file.
The various values you can assign to $$PushdownConfig parameter is:
  • None: Integration service process the complete transformation logic.
  • Source [Seq View Conn]: The integration service uses source-side pushdown optimization.
  • Target [Seq View Conn]: The integration service uses target-side pushdown optimization.
  • Full [Seq View Conn] : The integration service uses full pushdown optimization
You can optionally specify one or more of the following options.
  • Seq : Integration service can create a sequence object in the database.
  • View: Integration service can create a view in the database.
  • Conn: Database user of active db has read permissions on the idle databse, which is required to push the transformation logic to the active database.

The following example shows how to assign values to the config parameter in the parameter file.
$$PushdownConfig='Source View Seq'
